About Me
I’m a web developer with over 12 years of experience building websites and digital products within agency environments. Most of my work involves taking a design and turning it into a fully functioning, well-built website — clean, maintainable code that holds up in production and that the next developer (often me, a year later) can actually understand.
Tools & Technologies
I mainly build in WordPress, creating custom themes built from scratch using Gutenberg blocks and ACF, with WooCommerce handling ecommerce where needed. Alongside that, I have experience working with Shopify and Next.js/React for projects that need something more app-like than a traditional CMS.
Day to day that means writing PHP and JavaScript, consuming and integrating REST APIs to connect sites with booking systems, CRMs and other third-party services, and styling with Sass and Tailwind depending on the project. I use Git for version control throughout, and pay close attention to performance and accessibility as part of the build rather than as an afterthought.
I also make use of AI tools for debugging and catching things I’ve missed, but everything that ends up in a live build is checked and verified by me before it ships.
Experience
My career so far, across the agencies I’ve worked with.
November 2019 – September 2026
Make Agency
At Make Agency, I led development across a range of client builds, taking projects from initial build through to delivery. It’s where I started using Git version control and began learning API integration, connecting sites to booking systems, CRMs and other third-party tools. I also began exploring headless CMS architectures as an alternative to traditional builds.
June 2015 – November 2019
Spinach Branding
At Spinach, a London branding agency, I worked within a larger development team building client websites — including WordPress and WooCommerce (my first ecommerce build) as well as Shopify.
March 2014 – June 2015
Lucid Graphics
My internship at Lucid Graphics turned into my first web developer role, working with WordPress and building HTML emails for clients. It was my first introduction to agency life and where I properly got started in the industry.
